Our first project of the year is underway! A while back we made the big switch from black walls to white walls in our Master Bedroom. The idea was to brighten this space up but we just haven't been happy with it at all. We don't miss the dark walls but we have desperately missed the cozy factor that came with them. When The Company Store reached out to work together I knew it was the perfect opportunity to rethink what we wanted to do with this space.
The bedding is just the first step in this makeover but I think it's the most important because comfort reigns supreme in a bedroom and what's cozier than layers of bedding? I started with an old trusty color palette- charcoal, olive and blush and then I searched The Company Store for my favorite fabrics in those colors. Velvets, linen, wool- they really have it all!
We've had this bedding for about a month now and we genuinely love it so I've linked it all up for you below. (We have a king size bed for size reference.)
Starting with the basics because they really are the most important. We both love these pillows and this duvet insert in medium warmth. This bamboo/cotton sheet set and duvet cover in white are so soft they immediately became a favorite set!
Extra blankets are also a necessity in my book. I'm kind of obsessed with this washable wool blanket. It's super soft, light weight and really warm!
The blush linen pillow covers have just the slightest fringe and come in a ton of colors and sizes. I chose the 16" x 24" with this insert in the same size. These would also be great on a chair or bench. They are my new go to for linen pillow covers!
Another easy fave - velvet pillow covers which you can find here. They come in a variety of colors and sizes. I chose the 26" euro size for ultimate lounging.
I like to have options when it comes to a top blanket. Because I like the weight of an extra blanket over the duvet but not always the extra warmth that the wool blanket will provide I also grabbed this gauzy cotton gossamer blanket in the parchment color. On super cold nights we can layer them up and in the summer we can use it instead of the wool blanket. It's the perfect add-on layer!
There is more to come in this space but I'm really happy with the cozy level now! Everything other than the bedding was here or shopped from somewhere in the house.
