low-key design vibes, coming soon to your inbox

We've been doing our best to stay sane and enjoy our time together over here. No rigid schedules but a vague outline of our day just to make sure we don't forget to brush our teeth and change our underwear. The first few days at home just felt like a long weekend with a side of panic. Then our weather forecast took a turn and I knew we would spiral out if we didn't have a few tricks up our sleeve. I ordered a box of crafty stuff, found a few great accounts offering free craft and art ideas, wrote down a list of movies we could enjoy as a family and decided to start a band of the day as part of our own "homeschooling". Here's what we've got so far, I'll keep adding to it over time so stop back anytime!

Crafts we bought or had-

1. Write the Story- 200 pages of assigned storylines with 10 words to use in your story. An example- Write the Story: A Family Mystery Uncovered. Use these words in your story- Sunday, secret, wallpaper, swap, sister, curiosity, island, marathon, demand, notebook.

2. Craft Sticks and glue - to build an epic city of houses and countless other things on the cheap.

3. Sun Paper- the coolest way to make art without a camera!

4. The Princess Bride- we are reading a little bit every night together and it's been a great way to take our minds off of things before bed.

5. Canvas Panels- for the little artist. Throw in some Tissue Paper and Mod Podge to make mosaic art.

6. Paint By Sticker- hand them the tweezers and settle in for some quiet time. This one keeps them busy forever!

7. Wreck This Journal- possibly the worlds coolest journal! It inspires creativity and challenges the author to have fun, embrace change, and step outside the box to truly wreck the journey with their creativity.

8. Glass Pen Markers- for windows and mirrors. Make being stuck behind glass fun.

9. Too Many Monkeys- a fun card game for the whole family.

10. A Rainbow of Masking Tape- to decorate walking sticks for all those family hikes, make the longest hopscotch board in the world, create tape art with @_artbyrex.

My friends at Bloomist put me up to the challenge of setting the table with natural elements from their beautiful shop. Truth be told, it was kind of tough because I don't usually set the table in any formal manner and I'm not a fan of themes. I am a big fan of Nature though so with Spring and Easter in mind I started with a few basics that nod in their direction. Our own backyard eggs, a few dried botanicals with a beautiful vessel and some moss from Bloomist. From there I gathered things from around the house; our place settings and a throw blanket for a tablecloth. I putzed around until I found two ideas to share with you, both casual; a neutral setting and a setting for those who are fans of spring colors.

Here is look one...

A simple setting with blush, sage, and ochre accents. The dried Yarrow is the real star of this look but personally I love the nod to nature the Natural Reindeer Moss adds. I used it to nest our eggs in those little bowls and in the European Recycled Glass Jar surrounding the candle. It's also a beautiful option for your plants if you want to cover the dirt.

In the background you can see our EcoFaux Magnolia Campbellii Branches also from Bloomist which tie in nicely with the blush accents here. We used one of each branch size to create this look.

Look two is all about the neutrals. I kept the light gray base and played off the silvery sage of the dried banksia arrangement. Bloomist carries both the Dried Banksia Foliage in bunches and a set of 3 Dried Natural Banksia flowers which you've seen me use so many times before. I used both in this arrangement. The moss felt right at home in this color palette so it stayed as well.

I love this subtle look because food has a chance to be the real star in this scene. We kept the dishes but grounded them with a pop of black bowls. I also added my Tunisian Clay Beads for a little extra texture. When you are playing with neutrals, texture is always a good thing.

The vase is the Wabi Sabi Vessel. Bloomist carries two sizes, each one is unique. They are crafted from matte white porcelain clay by potter Wiem Ben Azouz. These are sculptural pieces not meant to hold water but perfect to display alone as art pieces or use with your dried or ecofaux botanicals.

Jake likes the colorful option, I like the neutral. Luckily both settings were quick and easy to pull together. I'd love to hear which you prefer!

If you are interested in any of these pieces feel free to use my Bloomist codes. "UNDECORATED15" will save you 15% on your entire purchase, "UNDECORATED25" will save you $25 off of a purchase of $100 or more.

After you've placed your enrollment order you are officially a wholesale member! On your second order you can start earning points back for free product by joining the Loyalty Rewards Program (or LRP).

Here is a link to a video that will explain it if you are visual person like me!

Here are step by step instructions for signing up...

1. Log in to your account at doterra.com

2. Select the "Create New Loyalty Order" button

3. Chose a processing date before the 15th to help you qualify for the free product of the month. Click "Save Date & Shop"

4. Add all of the items you would like in your next order

5. When you are done shopping click the bag icon at the top of the screen and select "Review Loyalty Order" to review the details including products, shipping and payment information

6. If all of the details are correct select "Save and Process on (selected date)

~Details to refer back to-

Joining the LRP is optional but its free and it's another great way to save on product! Placing an LRP order earns you points on everything you buy and it adds up for you to spend on free product. Below the price of a product you will see a PV number, that is the number of points you receive per product. If your LRP order contains at least 50 PV, you will earn a percentage of that PV back in points that you can redeem for free product. The longer you place orders of at least 50 PV on the program, the larger the percentage you earn back grows, up to 30%! You also earn back 100% of your shipping PVs. You need to make a monthly purchase of 1 PV (about the equivalent of a $1) to maintain your accumulated points.

Joining LRP also qualifies you to receive the free Product of the Month every month that you place an LRP order of at least 125 PV within the 1st–15th of the month. This oil changes monthly, and will be added to your order automatically when you meet the qualifications.

After you place your first LRP order your cart will automatically repopulate for next month with the items you bought last month. When you log in, your loyalty cart should be on the main screen for you to see. If it isn't go to your account on the top right of the screen and select loyalty orders. Here you will find the option to edit your order and you will be able to select the date which you would like to process your monthly orders.

Personally I like to place my order on the second of the month. After I place my LRP order I go into my repopulated cart and edit out anything I don't want to reorder and replace it with the list of things I've been wanting to try next month. Throughout the month I will log back in and edit my cart to add anything else I think of. Always hit save and check your process date. If you place your loyalty order and then think of things you forgot to buy, go back in and edit your cart and place a second loyalty order and select process today. Placing a second LRP order is always better than checking out through the retail cart because regular orders DON'T EARN YOU POINTS BACK.

Its all so much easier than it sounds, promise! You will get the hang of it the more you spend time on the website. As always, feel free to reach out to me on instagram @undecorated_wellness. I'm always here to help.

XO,

Meg
