Over the Summer I skipped our weekly wrap up but I'm bringing it back by request as a monthly wrap up. Here is the best of September, hope you enjoy it!
Let's start with my favorite project this month. Jenny Komenda's kitchen. Jenny has been a long time favorite of mine going all the way back to the early "Little Green Notebook" days. She's always been a joy to follow. She's genuine, down earth and her designs are DIY friendly and attainable. I highly suggest following her home/personal account, her design studio account, and her affordable print shop account. She also has one of the best blogs around IMO, you can find it right here. Here is her gorgeous new kitchen serving up some major design inspo for our One Room Challenge space!!

~Shopping... We didn't shop much this Summer but I have few favorites to share with you...
1. My Garmin Vivomove HR Hybrid Smart Watch - it looks like an everyday dress up or down watch but it's actually a hybrid smart watch. Like a FitBit but it doesn't look like a FitBit. It has a hidden touchscreen display that gives you all of your notifications, stress tracking, fitness monitoring, step count, sleep tracking, heart rate monitoring, weather and so much more. It was just the kick in the butt I needed to get moving again and the price was surprisingly affordable! It comes in a few different colors, I got the black band with rose gold face. You can check it out here.
2. The Samsung Frame TV- All of our TV dreams come true! The Samsung Frame has been everything we hoped for. A smart TV with a great picture, great sound and a super sleek frame that when mounted actually looks like art. The best part is that when the TV isn't in use the screen displays art of your choosing. The TV comes preloaded with a decent amount of art to chose from, and there is an optional membership fee of 4.99 a month with endless art options. You can also connect your phone to use your own photographs or use downloads from shops like Minted or Juniper Printshop. The frame of the TV is interchangeable so you can buy white, black or a wood look frame depending on your style and you can change it up whenever you want to. It's the perfect solution for over a fireplace or anywhere you don't want your TV to be a focal point. The TV has just one barely visible cord and a connect box that can be hidden in a drawer. It comes in a bunch of sizes (we have the 49"). Easily our best buy of the Summer!
3. Tinted Mineral Sunscreen - I tried a few different mineral sunscreens for my face this Summer in search of the perfect year round sunscreen and finally landed on this. I LOVE the tinted version, it's just enough tint that I don't have to use a foundation, it smooths everything out and adds a little glow but there is no heaviness or pore clogging. It's taken a few steps out of my everyday routine so I'll have to update my skin care regimen soon! This one is SPF 32, noncomedogenic, paraben free, hypoallergenic and fragrance free. There is also a non tinted version you can find here.
~New Favorite Secret Source... Aurora Mills - an architectural salvage store based in Aurora, Oregon who also ships throughout the US. We found our apothecary cabinet through them. Brittany of @adventureboyspdx sources for them and offered to send me photos and dimensions of pieces they had in stock so we were able to get a really good idea of what they had to offer. Check out the Aurora Mills website for vintage treasures, follow their Instagram account to keep up with new stuff and contact Brit through Instagram DM if you need help.
~Favorite Read... Where the Crawdads Sing. Find my Summer reads here.
~Etsy Find... I found this shop through Julia Miller Interiors (a new fave IG account). Handmade linen textiles with affordable prices. Really loving this windowpane linen pillow for fall but check out the other styles!

We are gearing up for the One Room Challenge that kicks off this Wednesday and I can't wait to share the space and progress we've made so far. If you don't know about the "ORC" you should check out the website here. Every Spring and Fall 20 designers are chosen to makeover a space and share the progress with you weekly. That's 20 rooms you can follow along with from start to finish and 20 new inspiring Designers to follow! It's all very exciting and inspiring and I'm thrilled to be a Featured Designer in this round! More on that soon.
XO, Meg
