Cabin Bathroom Refresh

I have huge family thanks to my Grandparents having 6 kids. They wanted us to have a place where we could all get together and stay close. Every Summer for my whole life we have all gotten together at "The Lake" which was my Grandparents house. We have a pretty big sleeping cottage with a bunch of bedrooms and a loft filled with beds for the kids. There is always some kind of project going on up there and I'm really happy to be able to start sharing it with all of you!

Today we are talking about one of the bathrooms. My parents remodeled it a few summers ago but it was time for a little refresh. I've worked with The Company Store on our master bedroom and pet products so I knew they would have the quality we were looking for. We were able to reign in the color palette, add some durable linens and throw in some pretty decor.

Since this is a place that is shared by so many people I tried to keep the color palette pretty neutral to please everyone but we did add a little splash of blue green and a few other accents here and there. It is a lake house after all so I think it's the perfect color.

Just because we kept the palette neutral doesn't mean we didn't add any fun. A splash of blue from the hand towels in the Storm color, some striped textured towels and polka dots for the kids jazzed it right up.

The bath mats in the Linen color are one of our favorites things we added. Super absorbent, love the color and they added so much texture!

In the shower I hung two of the striped bamboo towels and they are seriously amazing (and on sale)! They really couldn't be softer and they pull the water right off of you.

No cabin bathroom is complete without a few robes to run back to your room in and these do not disappoint. Ultra cozy! Also love this leather basket in the cream color which came in a set and holds extra towels.

After a little Marie Kondo action in the drawers we have room for all of the hand towels and washcloths.

I added just a little decor to the space with a brass tray, a candle and those two bud vases that are super cool and organic. The gray striped soap pumps have just enough blue in them to match the hand towels perfectly.

I also added the striped canister to this vintage shelf we pulled from another room to store more towels. My Grandfather carved the Sea Gull but you probably already guessed that. I threw in a few other vintage pieces like the plant stand and a few pieces of pottery. You know I love a good mix!

We love how it turned out and I'm excited for everyone to see it. Thanks to my fam for being open to sharing it with all of you! Looking forward to sharing more soon.

P.S. The Company Store is having their Friends & Family event which is 20% off + free shipping when you use code "BFF20FS19". I just ordered a few more of the velvet and linen pillow covers I've shared in my bedroom post too because they are on clearance!

Happy shopping!

XO, Meg
